"Sinnott-Armstrong offered a more dignified atheism that he said recognizes the accomplishments of Christianity. In one revealing moment he event said schools and colleges should teach students that the crimes of Christianity, like the Inquisition and the Salem witch trials, pale before the crimes of atheist regimes like those of Mao, Stalin and Pol Pot. Overall this was an elevated debate, one of the more high-toned ones I've participated in."

Visitas... / Visitors...

Neste fim de semana, recebi algumas visitas aqui no Porto.

Matt "Buckeye" que escrevia no extinto "Buckeye Thoughts" - agora participa no Nourishing Obscurity - veio visitar-me.

This weeked I received some visitors, here at Porto.

Matt "Buckeye" from the blog "Buckeye Thoughts"and the "Nourishing.Obscurity" - came to know Porto. He´s in Madrid, so it was easier to get here.

Fábio and Naaliel – Brazilians conservative that live in Coimbra also took part in the event.

I worked as an unofficial tourist guide for them.. Hope they have enjoyed. The weather was hot so I could show most part of the interest points here, including a visit to the cellars to appreciate the infamous Port Wine. They also proved the Porto´s cuisine: They had "Francesinhas" (little-french, a kind of spicy sauced sandwich )and Tripas à Moda do Porto (cow´s stomach).

It was the first american-conservative gathering in Portugal.

Thanks for the visit and return whenever you can.
